If Peter Obi had been a stronger candidate than Tinubu, Nigerians would have chosen him- Wike

Nyesom Wike who is the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), revealed that if Peter Obi had been a stronger candidate in the Presidential election which took place on February 25, 2023, All of Nigeria would have supported him.

On Wednesday, Nyesom Wike said this while appearing on the Politics Today program on Channels Television.

Nyesom Wike who was the former governor of Rivers State, went on to say that in the hotly contested election, he gave President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) his full support against Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The former Rivers state governor also revealed that he no longer discusses potential presidential candidates. But he added, “I don’t talk about Peter Obi or Atiku who also contested for presidency anymore; What I talk about now is the economy, President Tinubu, and his capabilities to make Nigeria better.

“If Peter Obi had been the one who would make Nigeria better, People would have voted for him.”
