Fame is manipulative and can mess up your mental health- Fireboy

Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan, alias Fireboy DML, a Nigerian singer, has called fame a “manipulative spirit.”

He revealed that just like money and sex, fame is intoxicating and very manipulative which can lead to “costly mistakes.”

In an interview with well-known media figure Chude Jideonwo, he made this assertion.

Fireboy asserts that fame is a messed-up spirit. It’s comparable to both money and sex. You can get mentally f*cked by those three things.

Your thoughts may be impacted by them. They have the power to persuade you to take actions [that you otherwise wouldn’t have taken]. They make you feel like you’re on top of the world, and then you start making expensive mistakes.

Additionally, if you are well-known and you make a mistake, everyone will notice.

It’s not like you can instantly correct them when you’re a normal person. I don’t want to make expensive mistakes because there are those that can be really costly.
