I was drained musically to a large extent- Burna boy

Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning musician from Nigeria, has discussed the part the late Indian rapper Sidhu Moose Wala played in his artistic collapse.

He claimed that the late rapper gave him inspiration when he was “musically drained.”

Before he was killed in May 2022, the “African Giant” singer said he was working on a joint project with Sidhu Moose Wala.

In a recent interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra in London, England, Burna Boy revealed this.

“He [Sidhu Moose Wala] was one of the biggest inspirations I had at a time when I felt like I’ve done it all in music,” he claimed. Due to the fact that I was listening to everything and nothing was making sense to me musically, I felt as though I had exhausted myself.

“I thought I had covered everything already. Everything was previously said [in songs]. But Sidhu gave my musicality a new perspective. He is an urban legend. The Punjabi legend. There won’t be another one ever.
