DSTV and GOTV subscription rates will see increament starting November 6th

Following assessments in April and May, this one is the third in a span of ten months about costs.

Nigerian customers of DStv and GOtv can expect a further increase in price as MultiChoice has announced a third increase in 2023. The pay-TV provider claimed that the price change would go into effect on November 6 as a result of growing operating costs.

It stated, “Please take note that your monthly subscription (premium) will be N29,500 as of November 6th.”

After the first two pricing evaluations in April and May, this one is the third in a span of ten months. The rise coincides with Nigerians’ ongoing struggle against the withdrawal of fuel subsidies and the depreciation of their national currency on foreign exchange markets.

The monthly cost of the Compact Plus bouquet would increase by 17% to N19,000 from N16,600. Customers on the Confam bundle would now pay N7,400 instead of N6,200, and those on the Compact bouquet will now pay N12,500 instead of N10,500.

Here is the detailed price list:

New Rates for DSTV

The premium bundle for DSTV is now available for N29,500, having previously cost N24,500. The former price of N16,600 for the Compact+ was N19,000. The prices of the confam and compact bouquets have increased to N7,400 and N12,500, respectively, from N6,200 and N10,500.

Last but not least, the Yanga bouquet used to cost N3,500, but it is now available for N4,200.

New Rates for GOTV

The highest bouquet for GOtv bundles, the Supa pack, was formerly available for N6,400; however, it is now available for N7,600. The Jolli and Max packages, which were previously priced at N3,300 and N4,850, respectively, are now available at N5,700 and N3,950.
