Governor Obaseki anticipates quick recovery for Rema

Along with Rema’s admirers and coworkers, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State is wishing him a speedy recovery.

Wakenews recollects that the ‘Calm Down’ singer announced he would not be performing anywhere in December citing health concerns. Originally, he was supposed to tour Benin, Lagos, and Abuja.

Governor Obeseki responded on Thursday via his X (formerly Twitter) page, saying that the people of Edo are proud of Rema and will always stand with him.

He pointed out that the Edo native’s incredible achievement of selling out London’s O2 Arena and accumulating 1.6 billion Spotify plays this year not only demonstrates his outstanding talent but also opens the eyes of upcoming creatives.

“My Rema,” wrote Obaseki
