Mr. Ibu did not have both legs amputated. Family explains

The thespian John Okafor, well known as Mr. Ibu, was not amputated on both legs, as his family has stated.

Wakenews recollects that during a recent conversation with reporters, Dr. Emeka Rollas, the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, revealed that Mr. Ibu had another leg amputated and was barely able to speak.

The family responded by clarifying in a post on the actor’s Instagram page on Saturday that the reason for the second amputation was that the first one “didn’t completely correct his health predicament.” The leg that was previously removed was the same leg that was amputated.

Mr. Ibu does not have diabetes, according to his family, but rather “had constant clotting of the blood in his leg [diseased blood vessels] and other health challenges posing risk to his life, therefore the need for the amputation.”

The actor’s family clarified that he hasn’t been sent overseas for cutting-edge medical care since his physicians have declared him to be “Not fit to fly.”

The iconic comedy performer was, according to his family, recovering. They urged his “friends, colleagues, fans, and Nigerians at large to keep him in their prayers and peddle down on unconfirmed reports concerning our dad’s health.”
