TB Joshua's church refutes a BBC investigation that claims the late prophet raped congregants

The BBC documentary on the late Temitope Babatunde Joshua, also referred to as TB Joshua, the founder of the Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN), was met with opposition on Tuesday.

SCOAN declared the documentary untrue, pointing out that the church was unaware of the individuals featured in the report.

In a statement written by Mr. Dare Adejumo, the church’s director of public affairs, the church responded to the viral documentary.

The church claims that the statement was intended to deceive the public about the report.

Remember that the BBC exposed an extremely contentious and incriminating documentary on the late TB Joshua on Monday, charging him with several offenses, including rape against some members.

According to SCOAN, “Weird and unusual incidents of atrocities against the late founder of SCOAN were revealed this week by BBC World Service’s investigative unit, codenamed Africa Eye.”

The church pointed out that the probe was carried out in violation of the core values and ethics of the news industry.

As the people’s watchdog, the church claims that journalism needs to be impartial, fair, and balanced to uphold the dignity, honor, and respect that come with being the fourth estate of the realm.

By delving into propaganda and made-up stories, the BBC has betrayed these high ideals and become a tool for gangsters in the media industry seeking to use their position as journalists to further their agendas at the expense of a perceived opponent.

The only organization that can truly explain why it shamefully strayed from authentic journalism and decided to give the public bread in the form of offensive and disillusioned stories of unhappy elements is the BBC.

“This is offensive to our professional and public intelligence, to put it mildly.

One much is certain: hundreds of BBC cartoons will never be able to erase the lasting effects of TB Joshua’s legacy.

The Church claims that hundreds of people have experienced astounding miracles and greatly profited from the anointing and grace that the Lord gave to TB Joshua.

“Those that stand in queue and react violently to this imperialist radio station are the beneficiaries, and their numbers are undeniable.

“Many of them are in the UK, which is the home base of the BBC, but only the blatantly biassed narrators are visible to its jaded investigative eyes!

“Myriads of broken homes reconciled by TB Joshua are also crying foul of BBC’s broadcast of iniquity. Uncountable hopeless children drawn from different parts of the world; some brought by their parents while some were picked from drug joints or brothels who have gotten their destinies restored are also pissed off by the offensive reports.

“BBC has shot itself in the foot by its compromise and roadside journalism.”

SCOAN added that BBC would not have lost anything if it had gone to the church, even in disguise, to have direct experience of what was happening in the synagogue instead of relying on disgruntled and manipulated individuals some of whom were never known before in the church.

”Some of those identified there are relics of homosexual and lesbian associates.“My findings further show that everything the BBC put together is strange to SCOAN.

“One other illogical thing in the charade is the BBC’s categorical statement that the man of God was involved in all the abuse for over two decades!

“How can that be in a nation governed by law? It shows the station’s crude disrespect and bizarre perception of Nigeria.

“Where were all those shameless interviewees in all the decades? Was it when the man passed on that they suddenly became awake or returned to their senses? Only a fool will have respect for such charlatans,” the statement asked.

Further dismissing the documentary, the church noted that BBC just wanted to call a dog a bad name so that they could hang it.

It added that It was obvious that the sponsors of the BBC hatchet job must have been envious of the continued growth of the church like the tree planted by the riverside.

“Thank God your report exonerated his only wife of any wrongdoings throughout the decades of your so-called investigated lopsided work.

“But did you think any wife at all can see and watch all those nonsensical and annoying scenarios you painted for decades and still kept silent? I am yet to read or see such a woman in the universe!

“This is illogical, irritating, incomprehensible, unfathomable, and satanically dubious and malicious.”

The church condemned the report, and begged God to forgive the sponsors, saying persecution of divine envoys or servants of God was not new in history.
