Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, is a Nigerian musician who has pledged to win this year’s Grammys.

Rema stated that he would win the Grammys this year when visiting wealthy businessman Tony Elumelu at his residence in Lagos, even though he was not nominated for any awards in 2024.

The “Calm Down” singer thanked Elumelu for always promoting the Nigerian music business during his interaction with the billionaire’s family. He also gave them a unique album copy and some of his merchandise, Air Rema.

Rema expressed her gratitude for the billionaire’s support of the music industry in a video clip that was posted on the billionaire’s Instagram story. It means a lot to me, so I’m glad. I’m bringing the Grammy home this year.

According to the sources, Rema was passed up for a 2024 Grammy nomination by the Recording Academy.

The following Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled for 2025.
