I never wanted fame- Deyemi Okanlawon

Deyemi Okanlawon, a Nollywood actor and producer, has stated that he didn’t enter the entertainment business for the fame.

The actor, who left engineering to pursue a career in entertainment, clarified that he entered the field to “do the work,” emphasising that “fame was the collateral upside.”

“To be honest, I didn’t know this side of fame,” Deyemi stated in a recent Celebrity Quickies interview. It wasn’t my intention to enter the industry for fame. I came to work, and celebrity was a bonus that came along with the job. I swiftly adjusted, realising that this was merely a necessary aspect of the work.

“In fact, to keep myself grounded, I try to push that out of my head.” His biggest regret, according to him, is not beginning his acting career sooner.

He mentioned that Viola Davies and Meryl Streep are the Hollywood females he would like to go on dates with.
