Nedu unveils real reason why divorce in now rampant in the Entertainment Industry

Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, also known as Nedu, is a well-known Nollywood actor and media figure. He has expressed his thoughts on the high divorce rate in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

The comedian disclosed that the primary cause of the frequent dissolution of celebrity marriages is the absence of harmony in their unions.

Nedu stated that he thinks mental health issues can be a legitimate justification for divorcing, stressing that divorce is a good choice if being married makes one’s happiness less likely.

He criticized the idea that unhappy marriages should be accepted as one’s “crosses,” arguing that maintaining one’s sanity is crucial.

Nedu recently said, “My take on divorce is, if it doesn’t work, then take a walk,” in an interview with Hip TV. I’m all about mental peace. I don’t want whatever is preventing me from feeling at ease. I can not go and commit suicide.

“Some people tell you, it’s your cross, carry am. No, na only Jesus dey carry the cross. If you’re not giving me peace of mind, then what am I doing with you? Nothing. I protect my sanity which is the most important part of who I am. I’m asking people to divorce but ask yourself if you’re going home every day because of the kids and not the person you married. That tells you a lot. If the person you are married to doesn’t give you joy, then what are you doing? If it’s not working, get out.”

Wakenews recalls that Nedu separated from his estranged wife, Uzoamaka, in 2018 after accusing her of paternity fraud.
