I never imagined I’d marry a musician- Simi

Singer Simi from Nigeria said she never planned to marry a musician.

The singer made this claim during an appearance for the “Tea With Tay” podcast, where she also described how she met her spouse, Adekunle Gold.

Simi claimed to have met Adekunle while working as a graphic designer and mistakenly believed him to be a fan waiting to message her on Facebook.

“I had already declared that I could not marry a singer, therefore I was unaware of my husband’s singing career when we first met. I mistook him for a fan. He was the “King of Photoshop” back then.

“I never saw the message he gave me on Facebook, and I didn’t respond. I had a feeling that we would get along well.

Simi and Adekunle Gold tied the knot in 2019.
