Couples intending to get married should leave together before marriage- Simi

The Nigerian musician Simi Kosoko, better known by her stage as Simi, has openly aired her opinion about cohabitation.

She clarified that cohabiting will enable a prospective pair to get to know one another better before determining to tie the knot.

Simi disclosed that she lived with her husband, Adekunle Gold, before their marriage in an interview with the most recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast.

“I used to go over to Adekunle Gold’s place so we could spend time together,” the woman stated.

“My belief is that… I feel like I might be in disagreement with religious folks, so maybe I shouldn’t air my opinion about this matter. In my opinion, individuals who wish to be married ought to live together for a while before making that decision. Because until you cohabit, I don’t think you truly get to know someone you’re going to marry. A person behaves differently when they are outside and in their best mood than when they are grumpy, when they get up in the morning, or when they are snoring.

“You truly know if you can last a lifetime with someone when you live with them and get to know all sides of them. Millions of people have tied the knot but never shared a home. However, I believe it’s a good idea to live together before marriage. It’s not required to last very long.
