Birds of thesame feather- Arewa Youths talks down on Akpabio because he said Emefiele is corrupt

Senate President Godswill Akpabio’s recent remarks, in which he blamed former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele for Nigeria’s economic woes, have drawn criticism from the Arewa Youths Forum (AYF).

The AYF responded sharply, accusing Akpabio of hypocrisy and comparing the circumstance to “the pot calling the kettle black.”

According to the youth group, Akpabio’s attacks were intended to deflect attention from his accusations of corruption and pending charges before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Akpabio was accused of corruption by AYF, which included over N86 billion in contract frauds and a rumored N40 billion fraud in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). Nigerians were reminded by the young organization that Akpabio had previously been invited by the EFCC to be questioned.

In response to accusations of corruption, the AYF called on the public to see through Akpabio’s deceptive strategies and underlined the importance of justice and accountability.

The organization voiced dissatisfaction with Akpabio’s remarks, arguing that people who have been accused of corruption shouldn’t be leveling unfounded charges against other people.

The group declared, “Any astute mind would not hesitate to conclude that Akpabio’s outing was nothing but diversionary tactics, typical of the pot calling the kettle black.”
