Kano State High Court has overturned Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s suspension as leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has had his suspension restored by the Kano State High Court. In suit number K/M1175/2023, the court presided over by Justice Usman Mallaa Na’Abba, issued its decision. The verdict overturned Kwankwaso’s suspension and barred dissatisfied members from serving as national party officers. Justice Na’Abba ordered an interim injunction banning the respondents from identifying as national officers, leaders, or members of the NNPP.

Furthermore, the Court annulled Kwankwaso’s alleged suspension and urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to recognize the suspension until the move on notice is heard and decided. The court’s verdict restored Kwankwaso’s status as the NNPP’s national head.
