Anambra’s Inclusion in NDDC, rejected by Senate

The Senate has dismissed a transition to remember Anambra State for the participation of Niger Delta Improvement Commission (NDDC).

The dismissal prompted squabbling between Representatives Tony Nwoye (LP Anambra North) and Jibrin Isah (APC Kogi East).

Representative Nwoye, in his lead banter on the bill looking for revision of the NDDC Represent consideration of Anambra State, being an oil creating state, contended that Anambra should have been an individual from NDDC since it has been gathering the 13% determination store beginning around 2021 because of calculable volume of oil production.

However, a large portion of the legislators who added to the discussion on the bill, kicked against Congressperson Nwoye’s contention because states like Kogi and Lagos States are not covered by NDDC tasks regardless of being oil delivering states.
