Bolt Offers Drivers Insurance Discounts and Fuel as Part of its Rewarding Program

Bolt Nigeria, a leading ride-hailing app, is offering drivers a fuel and insurance discount. This was revealed in a statement made to a source by the ride-hailing company. The fuel reduction, according to the firm, is part of its recently launched Bolt Rewards program.

According to the corporation, the fuel reduction is intended to help drivers manage the rising cost of fuel, which is a critical requirement in the mobility market. Following the loss of fuel subsidies, e-hailing drivers have continued to complain about the steep increase in fuel prices, with many claiming that it is making the business less profitable.

The company also offers insurance savings, which it hopes will help drivers manage any unforeseen repair bills.

Speaking on the new initiatives, Country Manager, Yahaya Mohammed, said the purpose of the discounts is to guarantee an environment where drivers are continually kept happy.

“At Bolt, we know that happy driver partners mean happy riders. With Bolt Rewards, we aim to recognise and reward the happy driver partners that provide high-quality ride-hailing experiences for riders through rewards and discounts,” he said.

About the Bolt Rewards program

Bolt’s driver rewards program is an effort that recognizes the high-quality ride-hailing services that drivers give on the platform. Deserving drivers would be eligible for tiered awards and in-app discounts under the plan.

There are four tiers of awards based on points earned. The lowest tier is Bronze. This is followed by the Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers, which are the highest and will receive the largest discounts.

On how it works, drivers are automatically enrolled in the initiative via their applications. They are then expected to earn points based on the number of completed rides over the course of a month. The more rides a driver completes, the more points they earn, the higher they rise through the tiers, and the more savings they receive.

Bolt Rewards recognizes and rewards driver partners with bonuses and discounts. The firm says the program aims to identify and reward the driver community with awards and discounts.

“It’s part of our ongoing investment in continuing to upgrade the Driver app, helping us recognize and reward the driver-partner community,” said the Country Manager in a statement.
