How my father rejected me- Hilda Baci

Celebrity chef Hilda Bassey, better known in Nigeria as Hilda Baci, has told the story of how her biological father, Effiong Bassey Edem, rejected her.

This was revealed by the Guinness World Record holder in her most recent interview with Taymesan on the podcast “Tea with Tay.”

When discussing her relationship with her father, she said that although he had been in their lives since they were little, things had altered after a heated dispute between her mother and him had an effect on the kids.

“I will say that for me, one of the biggest issues was when he abandoned me,” Hilda remarked. He didn’t give up on me right away. In a way, he was there for us.

However, it wasn’t until my parents’ problems surfaced in the second semester of my 300-level university studies that it finally hit me.

“I essentially recall the conversation I had with my father on the day of my matriculation. When I contacted him and said, “You didn’t bring food for me,” he asked, “Who’s your dad?”
