Dino Melaye criticizes INEC head Yakubu and outlines his next course of action

Mahmood Yakubu, the head of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has come under fire from Dino Melaye, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State.

He referred to Yakubu and INEC as fraudsters on the way the just-ended governorship election was handled.

Melaye asserted on Arise TV that INEC assisted the All Progressives Congress, or APC, in manipulating the recently concluded governorship election.

The PDP leader promised to write and alert the world about Yakubu and INEC’s purported assistance with election tampering in Kogi State.

He promised to plan a demonstration against Yakubu due to INEC’s actions during the previous election.

He bemoaned the manipulation of the results, claiming that his votes, among others, had been taken away and added to the APC.

Melaye claims, “With comparative analyses from the past, I have seen different types of rigging, but I have never seen brazen daylight robbery before.”

“INEC showed that they are partners with the APC in this endeavor. The expeditious acceptance of the fabricated results, complete with modifications, and the transparent decrease in PDP votes and rise in APC votes—those who voted for accreditation above all else—reveals all we need to know.

“There are more results displayed than PVC collected; I have never seen anything like this before.

This is disgusting, and we are aware that Mahmood Yakubu will suffer punishment from the All-Powerful God we worship; he will not escape.

“We will plan protests, send letters to all embassies and the international community stating that INEC and he are both frauds and that we will not stand for it.”
