“Calm Down” by Rema is the most shazammed song in the world as of 2023

The popular song “Calm Down,” by Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, a Nigerian musician, has been recognized as the most shazammed song of 2023 worldwide.

Being the first African song to reach the top of the Global Shazam Year-End list, the song created history.

To accomplish this feat, “Calm Down” defeated “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus and “Bloody Mary” by Lady Gaga, which came in second and third, respectively.

On Apple Music in 2023, the remix of “Calm Down,” which features Selena Gomez, is the song that has been streamed the most worldwide.

On Apple Music, it is currently the 45th most streamed song in the United States for 2023.

Rema also has the most appearances of any African artist on the 2023 Billboard Year-End Charts (34), which include airplay, album and song chart entries, year-end charts, and year-end charts for other artists.
