Davido leads the list of Nigerians who are most followed on social media

The most followed Nigerian on social media is none other than well-known artist David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido.

Top Charts Africa, an entertainment statistics organization, released a list on Tuesday, and the “OBO” crooner is comfortably at the top with 56.1 million followers across various social media platforms.

Wizkid, with 38.4 million followers, is closely behind Grammy-winning musician Burna Boy, who has 38.6 million followers.

With 34.3 million followers apiece, Afropop sensations Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage are tied for fourth place and fifth, respectively.

The remaining nine people in the top 10 are actress Regina Daniels (28.7 million followers), singer Simi (29.9 million followers), skit creator Mark Angel (29.7 million followers), music executive Don Jazzy (30.1 million followers), and actress Mercy Johnson (33.5 million followers).

Based on followers on four of the biggest social media networks—Instagram, X (previously Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok—the ranking was created.
