Father Mbaka to Tinubu- Nigerians are sad because of the current state of the country

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, a fiery priest from Enugu, criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration on Sunday for the degree of suffering and insecurity in Nigeria.

Mbaka claimed that Tinubu’s ascent to the presidency was hindered by numerous issues, including the Naira redesign policy, and that Tinubu was ultimately successful due to divine intervention.

But he claimed the president had not yet shown the political will to address the issues facing the nation.

He blamed a certain cabal for the corruption in the oil industry, which he singled out, but expressed disappointment that President Tinubu had not yet taken action against them.

These were expressed by the effervescent priest at his Adoration Ministry in Emene, Enugu State, during his sermon.

He emphasized that God was watching him and pleaded with the President to stay awake.

“Mr. President, if the leader has the willpower, fixing Nigeria is not difficult. You can do it.

“What’s going on with the oil industry? How many dollars are in the Nigerian account and how many barrels are being produced?

How much are we saving compared to a nation like Nigeria which exports millions of barrels of oil every month?

“Why is it so hard to fix other refineries right now? The cabals: who are they? They could be de-canibalized, right? If the president possesses the necessary willpower, it is possible to de-cannibalize cabals; neither hell nor heaven will collapse.

“These people can go to jail; why are you protecting them when many of them did not support you?” To applause from his congregants, Mbaka remarked, “Mr. President, wake up; God is watching you to see what you can accomplish.”

He continued by saying that all of the people were devastated and pleaded with the president to act quickly to put things right.

“Go to our schools and see how messy the government schools are. Our hearts are broken. Are we taking care of our teachers and doctors?” he said. Observe how they behave: they start mining money in pounds and dollars when they go overseas.

“Teachers receive no pension or gratuity after they retire; the hearts of these individuals are broken; legislation should be passed to address all of these issues.”

“Heartbreak is all around us. Our police officers and military personnel too have broken hearts. What kind of weapons are they carrying? They will shoot the police officers on the watchpost, take their guns, and flee as the senior squad passes. When their spouses pass away while serving overseas, what happens to their families?

“No reward; they chase them out of the barracks the next minute; what is happening to their family back home for those who are fighting Boko Haram in the Borno forest? Who’s looking after them?

“Their family members’ hearts are crushed and devastated; they are fighting those who are carrying weapons and who have bombed with catapults;

“There is insecurity everywhere; how many young men have we buried and are we still burying?”

The country was seeing a greater wave of hunger, the Catholic priest added if insecurity was not addressed.

“We are urging people to visit the farm and produce, but if you do, herdsmen armed with AK-47s will enter and slaughter the farmers. After that, who will visit the farm?

“Hunger hasn’t even begun, as I’ve been telling you for the past two years; I won’t lie to you; everyone needs to be actively involved and take action.

Who will return to the farm in Nkerefi after about six women who were farming were slaughtered and their stomachs removed? There is the fear.

“The level of insecurity will eventually reach your doorstep, even for politicians who believe they are safe in their comfort zone.”

“I know that this man who has come to be the president of the country if he submits himself to God, with enough willpower, God has blessed him in wealth. He has not come as a beggar, like many politicians who failed the election and nearly committed suicide because they used all they had to do elections,” Mbaka said, turning back to face President Tinubu.

“Jagaban is not impoverished, so he can accomplish remarkable things. Go the other way; surprise all these criminals; create a policy that will increase security and happiness for the Nigerian people, and you will see that a significant change is underway.”

“Look at today’s banks, they’re offering people loans with 25 percent interest, or roughly 26 or 27 percent. How are you going to pay that back? Which collateral is involved?

What then is the youth’s hope? All they require is support, empowerment, and encouragement. The youth are waiting for their shattered hearts to mend, and Nigeria will surpass China in this regard. We can Dubanize Nigeria.

According to Wakenews Nigeria, Fr. Mbaka made several contentious predictions in the past, most notably the well-known “From Goodluck to Badluck” statement, which was directed at former President Goodluck Jonathan.

According to him, Nigerians had been waiting for the Messiah which they thought would be General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd).

Later, in the 2015 election, Buhari overthrew incumbent Jonathan. Nevertheless, Mbaka and the Buhari administration subsequently had a falling out, with the latter accusing him of begging for contracts.

He also occasionally attacked Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, calling him a stingy man.
