Hardship in Nigeria is Temporary, Huge Changes is now – Wike

Nigerians have been reassured by Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, that the current economic distress in the nation is only sporadic and that changes are coming now.

Wike highlighted the difficulties that the people of the Maitama District, Garki, and Utako confronted on Tuesday at the beginning of the resurfacing 189 roads in those areas.

While acknowledging that there will inevitably be short-term setbacks in the complex process of reforming the economy, he assured that these challenges are a small element of a wider plan for constructive change.

“It takes more than words to alter the economy. A lot will go right, but things will get right in the process of going wrong. The temporary influence on you is what’s undesirable, according to Wike.

Wike urged Nigerians to expect good things from the Bola Tinubu administration’s economic plans rather than concentrating only on the present difficulties, urging patience and understanding among the people.

“The President’s actions today will shortly produce fruitful outcomes. We acknowledge that there may be some inconveniences. However, exercise patience. You’ll observe how things have changed. “I refuse to endorse anything that is unworkable,” he declared.

Wike urged conversations that recognise the advantages and disadvantages of government initiatives while urging a balanced viewpoint.

He also issued a warning that the FCT would terminate the contracts of underperforming contractors.
