I remain APC’s Chairman in Cross Rivers- Alphonsus Eba

Alphonsus Eba has insisted on being the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State.

Eba denied being suspended and stated that he is still the state party chairman.

The group that claimed to be stakeholders of the party, in a letter signed by Chief Mark Nomba Ayo as Chairman and Chief Mathias Ake, Secretary, suspended Eba indefinitely and appointed one Mr James Alicha as the acting state chairman.

However, in a telephone contact with a source, Eba stated, “I am sitting in my office as we speak.” “I am the APC chairman in Cross River State.”

He insisted that if he was suspended, he would lose access to the state party Secretariat in Calabar.

In a letter submitted to the National Chairman of the APC and sent to the state governor, DSS, Commissioner of Police, and Resident Electoral Commissioner, the group outlined a series of infractions allegedly committed by Eba, revealing that he violated the Party’s Constitution.

According to the organization, Eba has acted as the only administrator since taking office, being arrogant and aggressive.

“We, the undersigned bonafide members, acting on behalf of Cross River State APC stakeholders and for the overall interest, success, and well-being of our great party, as well as the majority of our membership across the state, have decided, agreed, and undertaken to suspend Alphonsus Eba as our party’s State Chairman.”
