Asake is bigger than every Ghanaian artiste- Shatta wale

No Ghanaian musician is today as well-known as Nigerian singer Asake, according to Shatta Wale, a dancehall singer from Ghana.

On Wednesday, he made this claim during a Twitter chat moderated by Serwaa, a media figure from Ghana. No Ghanaian artist has even achieved as much success as Asake, according to Shatta Wale. Not even me.

Nobody has achieved Asake’s level of success in the Ghanaian music industry. Let’s be reasonable.

“But you said you are the richest Ghanaian artiste and you haven’t even made it up to Asake’s level?” the host implied.

“Why would I have to reach Asake’s level [before I would be the richest artist in Ghana]?” Shatta Wale retorted. Unknown to us, there is a Spanish musician earning money in either Spain or the Dominican Republic.

Sources claim that Shatta Wale recently stated while congratulating Asake on filling the 20,000-seat O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom, that the accomplishments of Nigerian musicians eclipse those of their Ghanaian counterparts.
