False portrayal: Peter Okoye threatens legal action against Access and Polaris banks

Mr. P, a well-known online personality and artist from Nigeria, has threatened legal action against Access and Polaris banks.

Last year, the music star revealed how online con artists were using his identity to steal from people.

According to Wakenews, the musician has been operating a lottery system under his name, and online scammers have also been committing fraud under the same name.

On Wednesday, he took to his Instagram page and his official X account, questioning why banks would permit just anyone to register an account in his name without proper verification.

Peter Okoye exposed the banks through photos, vowed to call more banks out, and lastly threatened to sue all of them for damages.

“Enough is enough,” he tweeted. Either it’s an inside job or not. In order to preserve any of these helpless victims, I must safeguard my identity. Prepare yourself for me and my legal team now.

“How can polarisbankltd and accessbank allow just anyone to open a bank account in my name “PETER OKOYE PSQUARE” without proof of identity, BVN, biometrics, a real address, or even a NEPA/LAWMA bill that matches the account owner’s address? My name is currently being used to con innocent bystanders. Take notice @officialefcc, I’m suing this bank for damages.
