Burna Boy is now the very first artist on Boomplay to reach 1 billion streams

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known by his stage name Burna Boy, is a Grammy-winning singer from Nigeria who has amassed one billion streams on the digital music streaming service Boomplay.

The accomplishment was made possible by the release of his seventh studio album, “I Told Them.”

Wakenews’ investigation of the singer’s Boomplay account reveals that he has gathered over a billion streams on the streaming platform.

The biggest digital music streaming service in Africa is called Boomplay. It first debuted in 2015. With more than 600,000 fans, Burna Boy is the musician who is most followed on the platform.

Burna Boy is now the first Nigerian artist to exceed 1 billion career streams on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, Audiomack, and Boomplay.
