Tekno Instigated Afrobeats- Comedian Koffi Reveals

Popular Nigerian comedian Koffi Idowu Nuel, often known by his stage as Koffi, has claimed that Tekno is the inventor of afrobeats.

He emphasized that Tekno created Davido’s blockbuster song “IF,” which was “the first afrobeats song to go international,” and claimed that until Tekno added “samples and bounces” to it, afrobeats couldn’t enter the Western world.

Tekno, according to the comic star, was “relegated” when he became sick, though. This was said by koffi during a recent Galaxy TV interview.

“Tekno is the one who founded afrobeats. Beat me, fight me, I will fiercely defend it.

“Everybody [artists] was just trying to find it [the appealing sound] before afrobeats could spread globally. But as you can see, Tekno was the one who found the sampling sounds and subsequent bounces.

“He brought ‘Pana’ and made that lovely video, and people were like, ‘Okay, oh.'” He then gave Davido an edge. Tekno developed the beat for Davido’s songs “If” and “Fall,” the first two afrobeats tracks to truly gain international recognition.

Then, Tekno was still the same person who gave up “Buga” despite being unable to accomplish his objective. He has made numerous quiet contributions. However, they demoted him because he was sick and did not advertise his pay on social media, he claimed.
