Atiku brings a new forgery lawsuit before the Supreme Court against President Tinubu

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) nominee for president in 2023, yesterday submitted additional documents to the Supreme Court accusing President Bola Tinubu of forgery and lying while under oath.

The former vice president also requested that Tinubu be removed from office and declared ineligible by the court.

According to sources who spoke to Wakenews last night, Tinubu’s academic records were the proof presented by Atiku and were provided to him by Chicago State University on Monday as a result of a court order in the United States for the institution to produce the documents.

“We have submitted new evidence. The Supreme Court has been provided with Tinubu’s academic transcripts. You can ask the Supreme Court for a copy of the procedure, according to one of Atiku’s attorneys.

Paul Ibe, a media spokesperson for Atiku, stated: “Our attorneys will file new material today (Friday) to supplement the grounds of appeal filed previously. Although the legal team has not yet briefed me, new evidence will be submitted on or before today’s deadline of 12 p.m. (Saturday), at the latest.

“The additional or new evidence—which relates to the certificate Tinubu presented to INEC—will be helpful. It is based on the petition, the discovery, and the deposition, which is what we have been awaiting.

“And it is not the only cause; there were 35 grounds in our initial filing to the Supreme Court. The Chicago evidence is merely more supporting documentation for the application.
