Yahaya Bello is running for re-election in Kogi as an APC Candidate- Dino Melaye

In the approaching election for governor of Kogi State, Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has accused incumbent Yahaya Bello of wanting a third term.

Melaye claimed that Bello was running for a third term while posing as Ahmed Ododo, the APC’s candidate for governor.

Melaye claimed Bello was using Ododo to complete his term since he is not eligible to be on the ballot when he spoke on Channels Television on Monday.

Because the departing governor would still be in charge, he argued that Ododo would only serve as a symbolic leader if elected.

“Yahaya Bello is not off the ballot, so don’t be fooled. Ododo is actually on the ballot, but Yahaya Bello is using a proxy to run for a third term.

I don’t want this debate to be about Yahaya Bello, Melaye stated. Instead, I want to promote my political party and what we have going for Kogi State.
