PDP sure of supreme court win- Details inside

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says it is confident that the Apex Court will deliver justice in this case, guided by the law’s provisions, the body of evidence, the circumstances, and the facts presented before it, as the Supreme Court begins hearing the February 25, 2023 Presidential Election Appeal.

The main opposition party stated in a statement signed by Debo Ologunagba, the party’s national publicity secretary, that it feels that the issues surrounding the February 2023 presidential election—the alleged breaking of laws and regulations, the blatant manipulations and falsifications in an attempt to sabotage the nation’s electoral process—have put democracy in jeopardy.

The party claims that the world, including Nigerians, awaits the Supreme Court’s decision in matters of substantial justice. They hope the Court will uphold the law, including the specific provisions of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) Constitution, the Electoral Act of 2022, and the Guidelines and Regulations of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to the PDP, Nigerians, and supporters of democracy everywhere fervently hope that the Supreme Court would utilize this case to firmly uphold the adage that the judiciary is the common man’s final hope.

The party stated, “Therefore, Nigerians are hopeful that the Supreme Court will grant substantial justice in the Appeal based on the law and facts.”
