Information about President Tinubu’s close door meeting with Babangida surfaces

Yesterday, as part of his one-day state visit to Niger, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met privately with former military president Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida in Minna.

Tinubu left the launching of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago’s Agric Mechanisation Revolution Project and went straight to the former Nigerian leader’s mansion.

According to sources, the president spent more than an hour discussing national concerns with the presenter.

During his visit to the state, Tinubu committed to finding long-term solutions to the difficulties plaguing the dairy sector of agriculture.

It was learned that only Governor Bago attended the meeting.

Moving forward, Babangida offered him (Tinubu) counsel as a statesman and emphasized the importance of walking the talk immediately.

It was learned that Babangida urged that all government projects be directed at the common man and vowed to welcome all leaders, but he stressed on the essence of preserving the country’s unity.
